Back in 2023, Skybound Games reached out to collaborate on shaping the visual language for Invincible VS. I had the incredible opportunity to create concept art for Invincible, Omni-Man, and Atom Eve, as well as explore how their battle damage could evolve throughout the game.
The challenge was to develop a distinct visual style that could stand on its own—just as the comic and animated series have done in their respective mediums. I wanted to stay true to the original proportions from Ryan Ottley’s work, capturing that raw, visceral sense of motion that makes his anatomy so powerful, while also pushing the rendering further with added muscle definition and depth.
In the end, Dan Eder and the team did an amazing job finding that perfect balance. The game looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to finally play it myself.
