The Ark Exodus

Big Announcement!

For the very first time, I’m unveiling my personal project: “The Ark Exodus”.
It’s a passion project that my college friend and amazing talent Franco Barroeta and I have been developing since 2022.
We started it just for fun as a creative playground for ourselves and it quickly became something much bigger. At its core, it’s a love letter to the things we loved growing up: 80’s and 90’s cartoons, anime, videogames, and music, all blended together into a universe of our own making.

We didn’t set out to follow trends and avoided creating something to please a crowd. Instead, we focused on what excites us as creators and hope that passion can connect with an audience in a more meaningful and organic way.
For me personally, this project has been a chance to step outside my comfort zone. After more than a decade drawing superheroes and caped icons, I wanted to push myself artistically to create something different, unexpected and new.

Franco and I decided to take an approach similar to an animated series or video-game production, where we would first write the draft of our story and concept then break it into chapters with story arcs, the idea is to build a universe that could be our canvas, a universe where we could tell different stories and at the same time create striking visuals, through the years we created concept work with mood boards to understand and align our vision and artistic direction then we set to design various environments, vehicles, props and characters, all around the lore of our universe.

We’re still working on it and it’s taking some time since we can only do so much on our free time but I felt we have just enough meat to be able to show what we have been cooking all these years, so what’s next? From here on, I’ll be showing you the art, the concepts, and possibly some interior pages as I draw them.
